While filming at Strut For Strays, I met  Margaret Kudzman from The Rescue Business. They're located on the North Shore, and they help stray cats, feral cat colonies, and their caregivers by providing food, medical care, training and support to residents and cat caregivers. I had a great conversation with Margaret. She shared her experience of helping cats, what she learned about feral cats, and so much more. Margaret is a strong, overcomer who has a passion for cats and the tenacity to spearhead the obstacles that come her way. She is an inspiration.

I've been interested in learning more about Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society (MRFRS) for some time. They are diligent in their feral cat program TNR and spay/neuter on their Cat Mobile. They welcomed me for an interview last year- at the Strut For Strays. I spoke with Lisa Finkel, Vice President, about the programs they have and what the Strut event is all about. I  met a lot of nice people helping cats on the North Shore. There was a nice turn out even though it rained for part of the day, it didn't stop the runners and walkers who attend to support the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society. Kelly Kiley, Veterinary Technician for the Cat Mobile 2 was on hand to discuss the details behind the program they have that spays and neuters cats and she gave us a tour of the van. Their mobile service expands to many locations in and around and outside of the North Shore area. Their team of dedicated caregivers has an incredibly organized task of caring for up to 60 cats at a time in the van. This spring, I also made a trip up to their shelter in Salisbury Massachusetts to get some footage for this segment. I really enjoyed learning about the programs they have in place to help cats in the community and the story behind how they got to the place where they could offer those programs and why. At the shelter I'd like to give a special thanks to everyone who welcomed me and my mom on that rainy day. Especially Britny Fox , Shelter Manager for giving an interview about Feline Leukemia kitty's, and Stephanie Lyon, Marketing Coordinator. I loved visiting the cats at the shelter and look forward to visiting again someday. In addition, we did include our quick and informative interview with Rosemarie Hollandsworth. Although she wasn't available for a comment at post production I believe she can still be reached at the Facebook page by searching CAPA.ORG. For more information on Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society and they cool cats, literally, go to www.MRFRS.ORG. Their next Strut For Strays Event is being held this coming Sunday May 22, 2016!

Learn about the Kingston, MA Animal Shelter- They have an animal care fund, from public donations that helps the shelter provide medical care for the dogs and cats that they care for. I just love it there. They have a lot of nice volunteers and a very clean and friendly shelter.

My favorite segment so far- I produced this piece right after I had surgery and it took me 3 hours and I was able to take my time and truly enjoy myself. I loved being around all that cat art- and I only wish that I had known ahead of time what pieces were submitted so I could have written a script before I arrived. Other than that- I really enjoy this segment A Lot! I interviewed Toby Lynne Schwartz on her piece called Feline Fiesta- and I explored other artists in the exhibit.

I attend my first Cats On the Beach TICA cat Show in Marston Mills Cape Cod September 2012. I interviewed Francine Hicks a TICA judge about the cat show as she explained what TICA is, and how the show ring works in comparison to a dog show and how a cat show differs. Enjoy fun footage of fancy cats having a ball at the show. Also interviewed was Sondra White from Kitty Creations,  she sells cat t-shirts, sweatshirts, cat toys and trinkets and kitty themed pocket books!

Cat Expose' a segment of the upcoming episode of Purr View TV Show is uploaded to I went in search of the Feline Lifestyle at the 2012 Amazing Pet Expo in Wilmington MA. We interviewed Patty Welch Marketing Manager for Amazing Pet Expo  and she gave an overview of what cat lovers would enjoy at the expo.

We were excited to find Chrissy from A Helping Paw  in Buzzards Bay.  She spotlighted the humorous 2013 New Year's Calendars designed by Ernie's Cats from Facebook. The calendar is a fundraising tool to help support their shelter. They also discussed their unique shelter/store that supports the cat adoption center.

Cat Expose explores and how Kitty Connection  from Medford Massachusetts uses it as a tool to promote the pets they have for adoption.

Finally, we found an excited Deb from A Paws 2 Celebrate while we played with some of her colorful catnip toys.

I was hoping to find chocolate lollipops in the shape of cats somewhere in the vendor area- but there weren't any! Regardless  "I had a very fun time and really enjoyed the opportunity to video the show, interview people on camera and as always trying to get cats some face-time!"
